She personally came to where my mom was staying temporarily and hand-delivered her claims check, sitting with my mom, my family, and I in the middle of one of the lowest moments of our lives. In the middle of chaos and loss, she showed up in person with genuine warmth and compassion — and for a few minutes, my mom felt taken care of instead of forgotten. I will never forget it, and neither will she.
